At the centre of this private Margaret River wine tour is Wise Wine in Eagle Bay, set above vineyards, native bushland and the blue water of Geographe Bay.
Wise was established in 1992 by Dr Ron Wise and his wife Sandra, bringing together the former Geographe Bay Estate and their Eagle Bay property. Over the years, the winery has built a reputation for quality-focused winemaking, drawing on fruit from some of Western Australia’s leading wine regions.
Today, Wise is recognised as a Halliday 5 Star Winery, a rating it has held across the 2024, 2025 and 2026 Wine Companion editions.
The restaurant has built its own reputation too, being named Best Restaurant Within a Winery at the 2025 Gold Plate Awards.
The kitchen is led by Head Chef Matt Wright, with menus shaped around seasonal Western Australian produce and food designed to sit naturally alongside Wise wines.
And then there is the setting.
Wise is home to the Margaret River region’s only winery restaurant overlooking both the vines and the ocean. From its Eagle Bay position, the view opens across native bushland towards Geographe Bay, giving lunch a distinctly coastal South West feel.
Lunch is the centrepiece of the day.

A three-course seasonal lunch at Wise Wine, featuring Western Australian produce, with a glass of wine and views across the vineyard towards the coast.
Before and after lunch, we shape your private Margaret River wine tour around carefully chosen wineries, local producers and scenic coastal stops through the northern Margaret River region.
