At the centre of this private Margaret River wine tour is Vasse Felix in Wilyabrup, the founding wine estate of Margaret River.
Established in 1967 by Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix was the first commercial vineyard and winery established in the region. His belief that Margaret River could produce serious fine wine helped begin what would become one of Australia’s most recognised wine regions.
Today, Vasse Felix remains closely associated with the varieties that helped define Margaret River, particularly Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, with its Icon wines representing some of the estate’s most distinctive expressions.
There is a sense of history here, but it never feels stuck in the past.
The cellar door, vineyards, restaurant, art and architecture all come together naturally, making Vasse Felix much more than somewhere we simply stop for lunch.
Lunch is the centrepiece of the day.
The Vasse Felix Restaurant works with local and seasonal produce, combining modern Australian cooking with the wines of the estate.

Before and after lunch, we shape your private Margaret River wine tour around carefully chosen wineries, local producers and scenic stops through the northern Margaret River region.
