At the centre of this private Margaret River wine tour is Woodlands Wines in Wilyabrup, one of the region’s established family-owned producers and a name closely associated with Margaret River Cabernet.

Woodlands was founded in 1973 by David and Heather Watson, making it one of the earlier vineyards established in Margaret River. The winery remains family-run, with the next generation continuing a reputation built around Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and traditional winemaking.

There’s something particularly fitting about visiting Woodlands with Through Local Eyes. It isn’t about chasing whatever is newest. It’s about spending time at a place that has helped shape the identity of Margaret River wine and is still being carried forward by the same family.

Lunch here keeps that same grounded feel.

It’s relaxed, wine-led and deliberately informal, giving you time to slow down, enjoy the estate and spend time with the people you’re travelling with.

Before and after lunch, we shape your private Margaret River wine tour around carefully chosen wineries, local producers and scenic stops, selected to suit the group and the direction of the day.
